Surprise PR....
So I was trying to assemble some new funding proposals, and working on a media profile. You know.... demographics, reach of coverage, etc.... So I googled myself. Turned up all sorts of 'interesting' info!
But most humbling, was to find a few posts on various blog's I wasn't aware of. Best/Funniest one I found was this one I've cut and pasted below from www.triupdate.co.nz Kit hasn't come off yet though, although the special skinsuit will be busted out this Saturday at SS Nat's. Should be good.

Get yer kit off, Cabin
Palmerston North's Mark "Cabin" Leishman has just cancelled his planned trip to the Xterra world championships despite finishing 17th on the US Pro Tour. Leishman estimated his two trips this year - five weeks in the United States and two weeks in Europe - set him back $11,000. He makes ends meet by holding down a number of jobs. The extra funding he needed for the trip to Hawaii wasn't forthcoming and he had to pull the plug.
Nicole Begg, Timaru's two time world champion inline speedskater simply wasn't getting the profile she needed to fund her sporting lifestyle. No problem, she thought, and took her kit off, and by all accounts it seems to be working.

So Cabin, get yer kit off boy. I can't wait...
